I believe the best servants make the best leaders. Afterall, our Messiah, Yeshua, lived a lifestyle of a servanthood and one day, He too, will make the best leader when He returns to rule and reign!
Throughout this peculiar “wilderness” journey Abba has us on, He has been providing unique opportunities to love others. In some seasons, it was help cleaning up with hurricane disaster relief, while another season, it was lead worship, and other seasons it was to serve on a Board of Directors for my community. This season, while here in Texas for God knows how long, it is to clean toilets. Yup! You read that right. In addition to starting up a “for-profit” cleaning business in each of these various lands He has called us to, Abba also called me to clean for free. In this season of my life, I clean weekly (usually) for a faith-based pregnancy resource center. While doing so, I often am listening to a sermon, singing while I clean, and praying for the staff and pregnant women entering those doors. And you know what? I thoroughly enjoy doing it!
Through it all, I guess you could say, I am being “maid” ready to serve!
MAY WE LIVE TO GIVE, Because He First Gave To Us.
“Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” Matthew 20:28
“We know what love is because Jesus gave his life for us. This is why we must give our lives for each other.” 1 John 3:16
“Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:8
I hope by sharing this small piece of my life it inspires you to ask Abba how you also can serve others. 🙂
